All students obtaining their TxCHSE will be invited to participate at one of the LSC Commencement Ceremonies held every Spring. After completion of the program, students are expected to take and successfully pass the computer-based 2014 GED® test. Students can choose between a tuition-based program or a grant-funded program, depending on their circumstances. The Lone Star College programs will assist adults in getting ready in the four GED® test subject matter areas: Mathematical Reasoning, Reasoning through the Language Arts, Social Studies, and Science. TEA will mail a Texas Certificate of High School Equivalency (TxCHSE) to the student’s home address.
